SALCRA also participated in the public hearing into the Inquiry into Food Standards Amendments (Truth in labeling – Palm Oil) Bill 2010 held in Canberra, Australia on 18 April 2011.

SALCRA had attended the 9th Annual Public Serives Summit 2010, which was a three-day event, 9 – 11 December 2010, held in Stockholm, Sweden and Oslo, Norway.

In conjunction with SALCRA’s 30th Anniversary Dinner Celebration held on 11th May 2007 at Indoor Stadium Kuching, Yang Amat Berhormat Chief Minister Pehin Sri Haji Abdul Taib Mahmud mentioned that, "SALCRA’s success after 30 years of existence lies in its ability in turning the many rural people to be self-propelled, standing on their own feet and observing work discipline in improving their own lives and thereby determining their own fate and future". This is one of the achievements where the employment opportunities created by SALCRA, the income and business generated, as well as the dividends paid out are of course very desirable and much appreciated but what is more important is in seeing that SALCRA has turned the once economically-deprived and rather socially–disorganised rural folks to no longer deprived and no longer disorganised.

During the SALCRA’s 30th Anniversary Dinner Celebration held on 11th May 2007, Yang Amat Berhormat Chief Minister Pehin Sri Haji Abdul Taib Mahmud also mentioned that SALCRA has over the years changed the fate of rural folk into becoming more financially independent.

SALCRA has carved its big success within 30 years since 1976, after going through some difficulties in the early days due to doubts on modern land development. Perhaps, it is currently an agency that everyone can mention and talk about with satisfaction for doing its part well and for adhering to its main objectives most closely.
