Welcome to the official website of the Sarawak Land Consolidation and Rehabilitation Authority (SALCRA).
This website has been developed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the organisation, its roles and its functions. It also serves as a platform to share information on our activities, achievements and the opportunities available through our programmes and initiatives.
To date, SALCRA has developed more than 55,000 hectares of land, benefiting over 20,000 participants and their families from approximately 400 villages and longhouses across Sarawak. Idle and underutilised lands have been transformed into productive estates for the commercial cultivation of commodity crops, generating employment, income and business opportunities for rural communities.
To support estate operations, SALCRA has established an integrated supply chain network which includes processing facilities (palm oil mills), agro-input production (fertiliser plant), capacity building and training centres, and support services such as logistics, works and supplies which were managed directly or through subsidiary companies.
In addition to estate development, SALCRA is actively expanding into livestock and renewable energy initiatives. Through the ruminant development programme, SALCRA is intensifying cattle rearing activities to support the Government’s goal of increasing the Beef Self-Sufficiency Level (SSL) in Sarawak. Complementing this effort, the oil palm-based animal feed project, which utilises by-products from the palm oil industry, is ongoing to produce affordable, high-quality feed for livestock benefiting not only SALCRA’s own operations but also livestock farmers throughout Sarawak. Furthermore, SALCRA is exploring waste-to-energy initiatives under its circular economy efforts, aimed at improving environmental sustainability, enhancing energy efficiency and maximising returns from its operations.
SALCRA also contributes to rural development through the construction of roads, bridges, and community facilities including places of worship and recreational areas; educational assistance for participants’ family members pursuing higher education; supplementary income and entrepreneurship programmes for rural communities; and corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives assisting victims of fires, natural disasters and other emergencies.
Moving forward, SALCRA remains committed to contributing to the socio-economic development of Sarawak, particularly in the rural sector. We will continue to implement development programmes entrusted by the Government to support Sarawak’s aspiration of achieving developed status by 2030.
We are committed to continuously improving this website to ensure the delivery of accurate and up-to-date information. Your feedback and constructive suggestions are most welcome.
Thank you for visiting our website, and we wish you a pleasant browsing experience.
