DECEMBER ASSEMBLY 2025: CHARTING OUR MOMENTUM FOR THE YEAR AHEAD

5 December 2025 | Wisma SALCRA

The December Assembly was held on 5 December 2025, building on the direction set during the previous session on 9 June and reinforcing organisational alignment as the team moves towards a pivotal year. The session commenced with the National and State Anthems, SALCRA Maju, and a prayer.

A special note of appreciation was extended to Madam Evelyn Ajang, Senior Management Accountant, for her insightful presentation during the Staff Sharing segment on the KPI Quadrant Report. Her presentation provided a clear overview of this performance monitoring tool, which tracks the progress of Operating Units (OPUs) in achieving their operational objectives. Beyond performance measurement, the report fosters team spirit and accountability, aligning individual and unit contributions with the strategic goals of the organisation.

The General Manager, YBhg. Datu Joseph Blandoi, during his address, warmly welcomed Tuan Sikin Sentok, Deputy General Manager, who recently completed the Cambridge Advanced Leadership Programme at the University of Cambridge.

Datu Joseph outlined the organisation’s focus areas for 2026, aligned with the Government Transformation Programme. Key priorities include reinforcing the core business for sustainable operations; enhancing the distinction between regulatory and operational functions to strengthen governance; establishing a dedicated unit to explore long-term business funding opportunities; and driving innovation across business models, including accelerating performance from subsidiary companies. He also emphasised the importance of knowledge sharing, particularly through the expansion of in-house learning sessions by HR, to enhance operational efficiency.

Datu Joseph further acknowledged the IT Unit’s dedication and commitment in securing recognition for the organisation as one of the Top 5 Data Trustee Agency Working Groups at the SCSDU Digital Excellence Awards 2025 on 4 December 2025. This achievement reflects the steady progress of SALCRA’s teams in digital enablement and reinforces confidence in ongoing digital transformation initiatives under PCDS 2030. He encouraged the IT team to continue exploring and adopting digital tools to enhance workplace efficiency.

With the 50th Anniversary approaching in 2026, Datu Joseph encouraged all staff to actively contribute to preparations for this significant milestone, honouring the organisation’s history, achievements, and aspirations. He also highlighted participation in KRES activities, MAKSAK programmes, and other engagement initiatives as essential to staff wellbeing and organisational cohesion.

As the year draws to a close, Datu Joseph expressed sincere appreciation for staff professionalism, perseverance, and commitment. He emphasised that truthful communication is fundamental to upholding professionalism and mutual respect in the workplace, and encouraged everyone to continue contributing ideas, reinforcing a culture of collaboration and shared purpose. Together, the organisation builds on its momentum and embraces the opportunities that 2026 will bring.
