SALCRA HEALTH RUN SERIES 2/2025

15 December 2025 | Bajo Training Centre, Lundu

Nearly 400 participants, comprising staff, spouses, and AJPLS members, gathered this morning for the SALCRA Health Run Series 2/2025, which featured seven (7) categories. The event reflected SALCRA’s continued commitment to promoting wellness, inclusivity, and teamwork across the organisation.

The flag-off ceremony was officiated by YBhg. Datu Joseph Blandoi, General Manager, in the presence of the Deputy General Manager, Mr Sikin Sentok, together with members of the Management Committee.

In his address, Datu Joseph highlighted two (2) key points. First, in preparation for the 50th Anniversary in 2026, a structured calendar of monthly programmes will be rolled out, encompassing stakeholder engagement initiatives, corporate social responsibility activities, and community-based programmes across all regions. Active participation at all levels will be vital to the success of this significant milestone.

Secondly, while production remains a core priority, emphasis will also be placed on strengthening organisational presence and culture through staff engagement, visibility, and recreational initiatives. Regions, staff, and committees were encouraged to take ownership in initiating programmes that support a balanced, sustainable, and people-centred approach alongside operational excellence.

This was followed by the prize presentation ceremony recognising participants’ achievements and sportsmanship.

The event concluded with the symbolic handover of the Health Run baton from the Bau/Lundu Region to the Saratok Region witnessed by the General Manager and Deputy General Manager, officially designating Saratok as the host for the next series.

Congratulations to all participants and winners, and sincere appreciation to the organising committee, particularly Madam Maureen Tamin, Chairperson of KRES, with Mr Nelson Janen as Coordinator, as well as the volunteers and all parties who contributed to the successful organisation of this event.

Together, SALCRA continues to nurture a healthy, engaged, and collaborative workforce, strengthening organisational culture through purposeful and inclusive programmes.
