SALCRA began 2026 with its Headquarters Assembly, bringing staff together to reaffirm unity, purpose and shared responsibility for the year ahead. The session commenced with the National Anthem, State Anthem, SALCRA Maju, prayers, followed by brief staff updates.
The assembly continued with presentations on the 2026 budget and performance targets by Financial Controller Mr Addie Ngu Yii Ee, Chief Operating Officer (Mills) Mr Will Paul Bilun, Chief Operating Officer (SJSB) Mr Grover Peter Gani and Mr Stanny Kane, representing the SFSB’s Chief Operating Officer. Their presentations provided a clear overview of the organisation’s direction and the key priorities for the coming year.
In his address, the General Manager, YBhg. Datu Joseph Blandoi emphasised the importance of transparency and shared awareness in ensuring that all staff understand the organisation’s plans and expectations. He noted that progress is strengthened by disciplined execution, collaboration and accountability, which continue to guide the organisation regardless of external conditions.
Datu Joseph reaffirmed the strength of SALCRA and its subsidiary companies as an integrated value chain, where estates, mills, subsidiaries and support units work together to sustain consistent performance. This interconnected structure highlights the importance of coordinated efforts to maintain operational stability and financial resilience, in line with SALCRA’s aspiration to attract investments and advance towards financial self-reliance. As SALCRA approaches its 50-year milestone, 2026 is a timely opportunity to demonstrate collective commitment through consistent action. Datu Joseph encouraged unity and teamwork across all levels to translate plans into meaningful results for the year ahead.
The assembly adjourned on an encouraging note, with staff extending New Year wishes and leaving the conference hall motivated for the year ahead.
