24 April 2025, Lundu : SALCRA had the pleasure of hosting 40 members of the Sarawak Tourist Guides Association at our Stenggang Oil Palm Estate, in collaboration with the Malaysian Palm Oil Council (MPOC). This visit was a wonderful opportunity to showcase our commitment to sustainable palm oil production and its positive impact on environmental conservation and local communities in Sarawak.
Highlights of the visit:
- Insightful presentations on SALCRA’s sustainability efforts;
- An informative briefing by MPOC on the health benefits and sustainability achievements of Malaysian palm oil; and
- An engaging site visit to Stungkor Mini Oil Palm Estate, featuring a live demonstration of fresh fruit bunch (FFB) harvesting and evacuation—a real-time look at responsible plantation practices in action.
The delegates left with heartfelt appreciation and a deeper understanding of how sustainable palm oil is positively contributing to both Sarawak’s economic growth and its environmental future.
At SALCRA, we remain dedicated to responsible farming, empowering communities, and fostering a sustainable future for all.
A big thank you to the Working Committee for their dedication and full support in making this visit a success, and to everyone who played a part in bringing this event to life. Your hard work is truly appreciated.
