21 June 2024, Lubok Antu: SALCRA collaborated with the WWF Malaysia and the local communities from Stengin, Lubok Antu to conduct a tree planting programme at Lemanak Oil Palm Estate. It is part of SALCRA’s initiative to rehabilitate riparian zones besides supporting Greening Sarawak Campaign, which aims to plant 35 million trees by 2025.
This is the second tree planting programme in Lemanak Oil Palm Estate, and more than 900 fruit trees and timber trees were planted during the two-day programme. SALCRA is commited to extend the programme to all estates.
Also participated in the programme were Tr. Dabong and 16 locals from the four (4) longhouses; Dabong, Ameh, Kunyu and Pengabang.
