SALCRA brought together approximately 115 officers from Headquarters and all Operating Units for the BSC Corporate Governance – Management of Disciplinary Procedures training, jointly organised by the Human Resource Department, Internal Audit Department, and Integrity Unit under the Directorate Department.

The programme clarified key aspects of Conduct and Discipline, Governance Control, Risk Management, and the Integrity & Anti-Bribery Management System (ABMS). It highlighted essential control mechanisms, including early detection, adherence to due process, and measures such as suspension or interdiction, to support consistent application of organisational standards.

We extend our appreciation to the Human Resource Manager, Mr Alexander Wong; the Internal Audit Manager, Mr Korno Joneh; and the Certified Integrity Officer, Mr Warren Pelima Luta, for their sharing, and to all participants for their active engagement, which contributed to a meaningful and productive session.

This initiative reflects SALCRA’s ongoing commitment to strengthening governance, embrace accountability, and cultivating a culture of integrity and professionalism in alignment with its motto, RESILIENT, SUSTAINABLE AND PROFITABLE.

SALCRA telah menyertai Bengkel Pentadbir TALIKHIDMAT Agensi 2026 yang dianjurkan oleh Jabatan Premier Sarawak melalui Unit Komunikasi Awam Sarawak (UKAS). Bengkel ini menghimpunkan pentadbir TALIKHIDMAT daripada pelbagai agensi bagi memperkukuh amalan pengurusan maklum balas awam melalui Sistem TALIKHIDMAT secara lebih tersusun dan berkesan.

Sepanjang program, peserta mengikuti modul yang merangkumi pemahaman sistem, kecemerlangan perkhidmatan pelanggan, komunikasi dalam perkhidmatan awam, pengendalian aduan serta akauntabiliti dan prestasi. Sesi dikendalikan oleh tenaga pengajar daripada World Communications yang berkongsi pendekatan praktikal dan berstruktur dalam pengurusan aduan.

Majlis penutupan telah dirasmikan oleh YBhg. Datu Hii Chang Kee, Timbalan Setiausaha Kerajaan Sarawak (Operasi). Dalam sesi tersebut, beliau turut berkongsi bahawa pengurusan aduan memerlukan tindakan yang tepat pada masanya, berorientasikan penyelesaian serta disampaikan dengan empati bagi mengekalkan keyakinan masyarakat terhadap perkhidmatan awam.

SALCRA menghargai peluang untuk turut serta dan akan terus berusaha memperkukuh sistem penyampaian perkhidmatan awam secara lebih tersusun dan berkesan.

SALCRA participated in the 37th Palm and Lauric Oils Price Outlook Conference and Exhibition 2026 (POC2026), held from 9–11 February 2026 at the Shangri-La Hotel, Kuala Lumpur. The conference provided an important platform for SALCRA to engage with global industry leaders, market analysts and key stakeholders on developments shaping the palm oil and edible oils sector.

During the conference, YBhg. Datu Joseph Blandoi joined Council Members of the Malaysian Palm Oil Association (MPOA) in a courtesy call on YB Dato’ Seri Dr Noraini Ahmad, Minister of Plantation and Commodities Malaysia. The engagement provided an opportunity to highlight key challenges facing the industry and to reaffirm the importance of continued collaboration between industry stakeholders and the Government.

Organised by Bursa Malaysia Derivatives, POC is a world-renowned annual gathering of the global edible oils industry, bringing together more than 2,000 participants each year to exchange insights, strengthen networks and explore future market directions.

The SALCRA delegation included representatives from senior management, plantation operations, legal and secretarial services, marketing, mills and subsidiary companies, namely Encik Sikin Sentok, Deputy General Manager; Encik Siang Mandaw, Acting Plantation Production Manager; Encik Dabrin Peter Kini, Legal & Secretarial Services Manager; Encik Will Paul, Chief Operating Officer (Mills); Encik Grover Peter Gani, Chief Operating Officer of SALCRA Jaya Sdn. Bhd.; Encik Peter Manjan, Chief Operating Officer of Sarawak Fertilizer Sdn. Bhd.; Puan Christine Sulu Lulu, Senior Marketing Officer; together with officers Encik Zamry Bunyau, Encik Andrew Letan, Encik Jeff Deji and Encik Adrian Law.

SALCRA’s participation at POC2026 reflects its continued commitment to staying engaged with global industry developments, strengthening strategic partnerships, and supporting a resilient and sustainable palm oil industry.

SALCRA hosted the first round of its Blood Donation Programme on 5 February 2026 at Wisma SALCRA. The programme was organised by the Safety and Health Unit under the Directorate Department, in collaboration with Jabatan Perkhidmatan Transfusi & Bank Darah, Hospital Umum Sarawak.

The initiative received encouraging participation, with a total of 67 registered participants, of whom 61 successfully donated blood. The positive response reflects a strong spirit of volunteerism and compassion among staff and participating organisations.

Blood Group Contributions:

Group A – 21 donors

Group B – 17 donors

Group AB – 1 donor

Group O – 22 donors

Every contribution made during the programme carries a meaningful impact. Each drop of blood symbolises care, empathy, and a shared commitment to helping those in need.

The programme was further enriched by the presence of the General Manager, YBhg. Datu Joseph Blandoi, who once again participated as a donor. His involvement added a meaningful touch to the initiative and reflected a shared commitment to community.

Our sincere appreciation to all donors, participating organisations, and the organising team for their continued commitment and cooperation. Building on similar initiatives undertaken in previous years, their collective effort once again ensured the programme was conducted smoothly and with purpose as SALCRA marks its Golden Jubilee. Together, we continue to uphold our motto — RESILIENT, SUSTAINABLE, AND PROFITABLE — serving the community with dedication, compassion, and a strong sense of responsibility.

Program ini merupakan kesinambungan kepada pelaksanaan SDMS Data Proficiency Level 1 dan Level 2 sepanjang tahun 2025, yang mewujudkan asas kukuh dalam menyokong perjalanan transformasi digital Kerajaan Sarawak.

Penyertaan ini mencerminkan komitmen SALCRA dalam memperkukuh pengurusan data, menyokong pembuatan keputusan berasaskan data serta menyelaras amalan kerja dengan agenda pendigitalan Kerajaan Sarawak.

The SALCRA Martial Arts Club continues its weekly training, enhancing physical fitness, tactical skills, and mental discipline. Members practise self-defence, controlled restraint, and conditioning, with a focus on discipline, situational awareness, and the safe application of skills.

On 14 January 2026, the club held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) to review activities and plan future programmes. For the next two-year term, Sarjan Michael Ajong and DSP Cannedy Ijau were elected as Chairman and Advisor, respectively.

Through regular training and teamwork, the club supports and safeguards operational units across the organisation. Together, we remain Resilient, Sustainable, and Profitable.

SALCRA recently organised its first In-House Workshop on Palm Oil Mill Auditing Skills at the BAJO Training Centre from 11–13 January 2026. Jointly organised by the Internal Audit Department and the Human Resource Department, the three-day programme brought together 25 officers from across departments for interactive discussions, practical learning, and knowledge sharing.

Facilitated by Mr Gurbakhish (GB), an ARL Coach with extensive experience in governance, risk management, internal audit, and operations, the workshop covered key operational areas including mill security, production and weighbridge processes, data and documentation practices, FFB handling and grading, and general awareness of MPOB requirements.

Appreciation is extended to the facilitator, the Internal Audit team for the well-organised programme, and all participants for their commitment and active participation.

Together, we continue to build capability, strengthen collaboration, and move forward with confidence in supporting consistent operations and strong governance across SALCRA.

SALCRA began 2026 with its Headquarters Assembly, bringing staff together to reaffirm unity, purpose and shared responsibility for the year ahead. The session commenced with the National Anthem, State Anthem, SALCRA Maju, prayers, followed by brief staff updates.

The assembly continued with presentations on the 2026 budget and performance targets by Financial Controller Mr Addie Ngu Yii Ee, Chief Operating Officer (Mills) Mr Will Paul Bilun, Chief Operating Officer (SJSB) Mr Grover Peter Gani and Mr Stanny Kane, representing the SFSB’s Chief Operating Officer. Their presentations provided a clear overview of the organisation’s direction and the key priorities for the coming year.

In his address, the General Manager, YBhg. Datu Joseph Blandoi emphasised the importance of transparency and shared awareness in ensuring that all staff understand the organisation’s plans and expectations. He noted that progress is strengthened by disciplined execution, collaboration and accountability, which continue to guide the organisation regardless of external conditions.

Datu Joseph reaffirmed the strength of SALCRA and its subsidiary companies as an integrated value chain, where estates, mills, subsidiaries and support units work together to sustain consistent performance. This interconnected structure highlights the importance of coordinated efforts to maintain operational stability and financial resilience, in line with SALCRA’s aspiration to attract investments and advance towards financial self-reliance. As SALCRA approaches its 50-year milestone, 2026 is a timely opportunity to demonstrate collective commitment through consistent action. Datu Joseph encouraged unity and teamwork across all levels to translate plans into meaningful results for the year ahead.

The assembly adjourned on an encouraging note, with staff extending New Year wishes and leaving the conference hall motivated for the year ahead.

SALCRA continued to reinforce governance and institutional accountability through the implementation of its Legal Talk Series, attended by 127 staff from various operating units.

The session was facilitated by Miss Angela Jinget, Senior Legal Officer from the Legal & Secretarial Services Department, and provided an overview of the legal framework governing SALCRA’s operations. The programme covered key legislation, including the SALCRA Ordinance 1976, the Sarawak Land Code, and relevant Federal laws applicable to SALCRA as a statutory authority.

The initiative supported a consistent understanding of SALCRA’s statutory mandate in land development and agricultural advancement, and reinforced the importance of legal compliance, transparency and respect for Native Customary Rights (NCR) across operational functions.

This programme forms part of SALCRA’s ongoing efforts to strengthen governance practices, enhance institutional accountability, and ensure that operations are carried out in accordance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
