22 April 2024, Kota Samarahan: The Authority commemorated the 11th anniversary of its Auxiliary Police force with a celebration along with police defense demonstrations at Wisma SALCRA in Kota Samarahan. The Head of Participants’ Development Department, Encik Henry Daris officiated the ceremony which was attended by a total of 60 Auxiliary Police personnel. The ceremony continued with a pinning ceremony for two (2) personnel who were promoted to Sergeants (Sgt.). They were Sgt. James Tindin Anak Albert and Sgt. Nasir Bin Musa.

SALCRA’s Auxiliary Police force was founded in 2013 and granted its official approval for establishment from the PDRM on 17th April 2013. There are 113 active personnels, of which 111 are male and 2 are female personnel.

18 April 2024, Sri Aman: The SALCRA Management Team conducted two (2) field visits to Sri Aman and Saratok. The General Manager, Tuan Joseph Blandoi and the Deputy General Manager, Encik Sikin Sentok led the visits to these regions respectively from 15 to 18 April 2024. The four-day visit served as an opportunity for identifying areas of improvement and discussing solutions to the challenges faced. Additionally, the visit aimed to oversee the operation of estates and mills and stay updated with continuous improvement initiatives.

22 March 2024, Lundu: SALCRA recently concluded its Performance Review 2023 and Budget Objective Setting 2025 presentation at the Bajo Training Centre. The annual programme aimed to keep the Budget and Performance Committee and stakeholders informed about performance and achievement for year 2023, and the way forward.

All Heads of Departments and Chief Operating Officers presented their Performance Review 2023 and Budget Objective Setting 2025 to the Budget and Performance Committee, comprising the General Manager, the Deputy General Manager, and the Financial Controller.

The General Manager, Tuan Joseph Blandoi, in his closing remarks, briefed the audience about the Authority’s journey since establishment in 1976, the current challenges, and the new directions towards the Transformation Journey 2030.

The goal is to transform SALCRA into a resilient, sustainable, and profitable organisation with a strong focus on maximizing returns from all assets and increasing manpower competency. To achieve this, the General Manager emphasised that the Authority’s plans must be aligned with the five key thrusts as per the Management Policy and Corporate Strategy for 2021-2025: profit & loss, operational excellence, unleashing talent, winning stakeholder support, and control, coordinate and communicate.

Also attended the one-week programme were the members of AJPLS.

Tambahan lagi, pasangan beregu wanita SALCRA iaitu Cik Whitney Jee dan Cik Shasha Risha telah merangkul gelaran Juara Kategori Beregu Wanita. Mereka telah menewaskan Kumpulan BSN pada perlawanan terakhir dengan keputusan 2-0.

29 Mac 2024, Serian: Bersempena dengan bulan Ramadhan yang mulia, Ahli Jawatankuasa Surau SALCRA (Wisma SALCRA) telah menganjurkan Majlis Berbuka Puasa bersama staf SALCRA dan Pekerja Migran Indonesia yang bertempat di Dewan Serbaguna Ladang Kelapa Sawit Melikin.

Pihak Majlis juga mengambil peluang ini untuk mengagihkan sumbangan bubur lambuk dan kurma bagi mengeratkan silaturrahim dalam kalangan warga kerja SALCRA.

5 Mac 2024, Serian: Seramai 32 orang pelajar Sekolah Menengah Utsunomiya Chuo, Jepun telah melawat ke kawasan operasi SALCRA hari ini, iaitu Ladang Kelapa Sawit Kedup 2 dan Kilang Minyak Kelapa Sawit - Serian Palm Oil Mill Sdn. Bhd. (SEPOM).

Tujuan utama lawatan ini adalah untuk memberi pendedahan kepada para pelajar tentang penanaman dan pengurusan kelapa sawit, serta operasi dan pengeluaran minyak kelapa sawit.

Turut serta dalam lawatan ini ialah Jurutera Kilang, Encik Joseph Ratan, Pengurus Estet Kedup 1, Encik Baron Jonathan dan Pengurus Estet Kedup 2, Encik Shafiq bin Sarkawi.

27 Februari 2024, Kota Samarahan: SALCRA telah diaudit oleh dua (2) orang Juruaudit lantikan Unit Transformasi dan Inovasi Sarawak (STIU), Jabatan Premier Sarawak iaitu Encik Liew Ju Jeng dan Puan Diana anak Pike Kuwad, untuk pelaksanaan Balanced Scorecard (BSC) bagi tahun 2023. Sesi audit ini telah dihadiri oleh Kumpulan Pengurusan Strategik (SMT) yang diketuai oleh Encik Sikin Sentok, selaku Pengerusi SMT dan Timbalan Pengurus Besar SALCRA, serta Sekretariat BSC.

Setinggi-tinggi tahniah dan syabas kepada semua warga SALCRA kerana telah berjaya meraih tahap Cemerlang iaitu sebanyak 100% yang telah diumum oleh Juruaudit semasa Mesyuarat Penutupan Audit.

Semoga pencapaian ini menjadi motivasi kepada semua warga SALCRA untuk terus mendokong usaha BSC pada masa hadapan dan terus konsisten dalam menyampaikan prestasi yang cemerlang.

21 Februari 2024, Bau: Seramai 23 orang pelajar Universiti Shinshu, Jepun telah melawat ke kawasan operasi SALCRA hari ini, iaitu Ladang Kelapa Sawit Stenggang dan Kilang Minyak Kelapa Sawit Bau Sdn. Bhd. (BAPOM).

Tujuan utama lawatan ini adalah untuk memberi pendedahan tentang penanaman dan pengurusan kelapa sawit, serta operasi dan pengeluaran minyak kelapa sawit kepada para pelajar tersebut.

Turut serta dalam lawatan ini ialah Pengurus Wilayah Bau-Lundu, Encik Nelson Janen.

22 February 2024, Putrajaya: SALCRA was among the recipients of the Anugerah Integriti, Governans dan Anti Rasuah (AIGA 2023). SALCRA received the Bronze Award at the ceremony held today in Putrajaya. AIGA was established to recognise and appreciate the efforts and commitments of both the public and private sectors in nurturing the culture of integrity, governance and anti-corruption in their organisation.

When asked to comment on the award, Tuan Joseph Blandoi, the General Manager said, “We are glad to have received this award. This award is one of the early results of our efforts to build a clean working culture. When I took over the leadership of SALCRA, we started by formulating the Organisational Anti-Corruption Plan (OACP) and implementing various initiatives. After three years, we have seen some encouraging results such as this award, as well as being rated by MACC as a medium-risk organisation.”

He added, “In fact, we didn’t expect to win anything. We participated to identify what are the gaps and weaknesses that we have in our system for improvement purposes. I must thank all officers and staff of SALCRA for supporting this initiative. However, the journey will not end here. There is still much room for improvement. We shall implement more initiatives to ensure everyone in the organisation internalises the importance of integrity in executing their responsibilities. Among the new initiatives include the Anti-Bribery Management System that shall start this year.”

The General Manager was accompanied by Encik Kubu Jenggi, the Internal Audit Manager; DSP AP Cannedy Ijau, the Chief Security Officer; and Puan Susan Steward Ngau, the Certified Integrity Officer at AIGA 2023 today.
